Deborah's Story
Deborah’s journey as a children’s author began in early 2009, when her twins were just five years old and her stories first came to life. After traditional publishers rejected her early manuscripts, she tucked them away in a drawer where they sat for years, but the characters stayed with her.
Then, in the summer of 2025, she awoke suddenly in the night to a voice - loud, clear, unmistakable - telling her to “publish your stories”. She listened.
After trying unsuccessfully to illustrate her first book, The Small Spiral Seashell herself, she found a remarkable painter whose talent matched her vision. She and Loknath Roy began working together in October 2025, and now collaborate on every story, bringing Deborah’s long‑held vision to life.
